Remember how a long time ago I said I would post the most delicious Oreo Truffles recipe? Well I'm finally getting around to doing it!
These puppies were introduced to me when I was in college and living with 5 other girls. One of the great perks of living with lots of girls is that someone was always making food. We all had our specialties, and one such specialty was Oreo Truffles. We made these for holiday parties, ward activities, and just because. So here you go!
Homemade Oreo Truffles
Here's what you need:
1 1/2 sleeves of Oreo cookies
4 oz cream cheese
8 oz of chocolate (milk, semisweet, white... whatever you like best!)
chocolate sprinkles (optional)
How to make em':
Using a blender or food processor, grind up Oreos.
Mix Oreo crumbles and cream cheese until well combined.
roll into little balls and place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet.
Refrigerate for 30-45 minutes, or until firm.
Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl in 15 second increments, stopping to stir each time, until melted.
coat the Oreo balls in the chocolate and place back on wax paper-ed cookie sheet
place a pinch-full of sprinkles to the top of each truffle.
place in refrigerator to cool until the chocolate has hardened.
And that's it! Super easy and soooo yummy. Mine don't always look super pretty right after I've coated them in chocolate, but once they've hardened they look a lot better.
Hope you're all having a lovely Tuesday! And don't forget about the ongoing giveaways!
