Janelle In Real Life: little red dress.

little red dress.

Hey friends! I know it's been a little while since I posted last, but I'm back with some lovely photos for you! I'm still dealing with some health issues... nothing major, but it's affecting my energy levels. And when there's limited energy, preeeetty much all of it goes to caring for my toddler! Just ask my husband, he's had to pick up a LOT of slack when it comes to the housework. Bless him for being so amazing through everything.
I've dealt with anemia a few times throughout my life (a rare life-threatening form when I was a child and the normal iron-deficiency kind as an adult) and when it comes back around, it's always an adjustment. I usually try to adjust my diet to include plenty of iron rich foods, but when that alone doesn't work (and it never does) I go on supplements and medication. The main issue I have with anemia is feeling really tired and low on energy a lot of the time. I take naps when my little one does and have to have my hubby go with me to the grocery store so I don't get too wiped out haha. It's ridiculous. But my family is so wonderful and takes great care of me. Thank you all for being patient with me as I work through all of this!

During summertime, I think the best thing to wear is a comfy, flowy dress. This dress is seriously so fun to wear! Thank you ASOS for always having the best skirts and dresses.
Hope all of you are enjoying your summer so far!

  1. I'm sorry you're not feeling too great!! I know it sounds silly but I read recently that cooking in cast iron…helps get iron levels up? I bet you do that already, but thought I would throw it out there. Anything that could help, right?? Good luck and also I am excited to read your blog no matter how often you post!!

  2. Yes, I agree, comfy + flowy dresses are the absolute best for summertime!! Hope you feel better now (since it's a week after you posted this or so). Love your blog and I am so glad I found it!
