love/don't love and a giveaway WINNER!

Things I love about this time of year:

warmer weather & a daily dose of sunshine

more activities to do with my toddler since we can actually go outside

waterparks are open (yay!)

blossoms on trees and general pretty green-ness
wearing skirts & shorts & sandals

Things I do not love about this time of year:

Allergies

kids being out of school so all the parks are PACKED

.....but mostly allergies.

You guys, it's getting ridiculous. I've dealt with allergies most of my life. I'm allergic to cats and when I was a kid I would swell up and get all itchy if I was anywhere near where a cat had been in the last several weeks... that actually still happens. But I've just learned to avoid cats (and the houses of people who have cats). No biggie. Unfortunately I'm also allergic to pollen and the pollen count in Utah right now is ridiculously high. I literally can't even go outside to get the mail without getting itchy and needing to blow my nose. My poor kid loooooves being outside, so I'll usually suffer for a while and take him to the park or just to play outside our house on the grass, but after 30 minutes it gets hard for me to function because I'm swelling and my eyes are watering and itchy, and my nose is itchy and leaking and generally feeling miserable. The pollen can go ahead and get the H outta here anytime now, I'm so done with it.
