It's that weird time of the year when pumpkin everything starts showing up in the stores, and everyone's wearing boots and drinking their PSL's even though it's still 85 degrees outside.
Transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall can be kind of weird because you're ready to pull out the sweaters, scarves, and boots... but you also don't want to get heat stroke. I like to compromise a little.

Are sandals and a scarf an acceptable combination? It's a "summer scarf" so that's ok, right?
Anyway, I'm fully embracing maternity clothes at this point, and it's pretty amazing. I feel like people are always trying to stretch their normal wardrobe as long as possible into pregnancy, and I totally get why. It's cheaper and generally has cuter styling options. Buuuut, I've learned that investing in a few key maternity pieces is not too bad on the wallet and makes life 100% more comfortable! Maternity leggings = the best invention ever. This top is a maternity tunic that will carry me into the colder months and I really love it. It's loose (but doesn't look like a tent), covers the tush (perfect for leggings), and it feels like pajamas. Right now it's more of a bump hider, which is why I look less pregnant now than in my last post. Sometimes it's nice to have a more forgiving top, amiright?
You guys, it feels sooooo good to be fully in my second trimester and not be barfing all the time. I actually had a really fun and eventful weekend! Which is miraculous because I actually had energy to do things other than just grocery shopping. Loving it.
My number one favorite thing about my weekend was scoring the Ninja blender I've been wanting for a great deal (more than half off!). I'm so ready for delicious smoothies.
In other news, I'm basically dying over here waiting to find out the sex of our baby! Last time around we did the early gender check ultrasound at 15-16 weeks and this time we were like ehhhh, we can totally wait and save the $50 we would have had to spend on getting the extra ultrasound! But I'm just into my 19th week now and I can't.wait. Only 2 more weeks!
