Janelle In Real Life: ABOUT

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Here's a little bit about me and my family.

We are a family of three (soon to be four!) and we have the best time together.

I am a 24 year old mom of (almost) 2 kids and I've been married for 3 glorious years. I never imagined my life turning out the way it has but I am really, really happy about it. I stay at home with my little guy and play so hard. I spend some of my weekends working for The Shine Project, a company that I've loved on social media for a few years and finally had the opportunity to be a part of! I (obviously) like fashion and blogging, as well as reading, cooking, binge-watching Netflix, being outdoors, and spending time with my family. I hail from the PNW so don't judge if you see me wearing Birkenstocks.

My husband is super attractive, really smart, and intensely motivated. He's also southern but he doesn't have an accent (booo). He does however, obsess about college football. He's an engineer and actually likes his job and on the weekends he likes to run a lot farther and faster than I would ever consider. He plays the guitar (so basically a rockstar) and likes reading history books, which is cool but I really don't get it.

My sweet little boy is 2 and probably the funniest thing that ever happened to my life. He likes to sing songs, spin in circles, and read ALL the books. We have to do weekly library trips so we don't get bored of reading him the same books over and over again. My life would seriously be really boring without him and I love having the cutest toddler there ever was hanging out with me.

I blog a lot about my personal style. I'm not here to be materialistic or to focus on how awesome my clothes are. I really just want this blog to be a place where I can get creative and try new things with the way I dress. Focusing on personal style is a pretty new thing for me. I've always had an interest in fashion, but I just thought that I could never BE fashionable. Turns out, everyone has a fashion sense and their own way of interpreting styles and trends. There's not one way to do fashion right, and I love being able to do style my own way.

I try to keep my clothing affordable and within my own standards of modesty. It's fun to take a trend and put your own spin on it! I hope you enjoy reading and feel free to email me if you have any questions, suggestions for post topics, or if you just want to talk. Because I would really love to get to know you.
